PowerHouse SMART® was created to serve leaders in luxury design, construction, architecture, real estate, manufacturing, and allied industries who believe that how we work matters just as much as what we build.
The community exists to create space for connection, collaboration, and leadership rooted in integrity—so individuals and businesses can grow together and positively influence the industry. Today, PowerHouse SMART® operates through intentionally built communities in Illinois, Minnesota, Florida, and California—each shaped by its local market while connected by shared values.
PowerHouse SMART® is not a networking group, a referral club, or a transactional organization. It is an ongoing professional community where relationships extend beyond events, and where people feel respected, supported, and challenged to do better work together.
PowerHouse SMART® started in 2005 out of a shared frustration with traditional industry events and networks—spaces that felt transactional, inconsistent, or disconnected from real relationships.
Rather than building something bigger, PHS stayed boutique by design. Curated rooms. Thoughtful formats. A culture of warmth and presence. An experience where people feel welcomed, not worked.
From the beginning, the focus has been on quality over quantity, conversation over noise, and long-term relationships over short-term outcomes.
