Considered one of Chicago’s top kitchen and bath designers, Susan’s more than two decades of experience and multiple regional and national design awards are proof that she stands above the crowd.
Susan acquired the leadership skills needed to make her clients feel confident and comfortable with her at the helm by beginning her career in corporate America working for a Fortune 500 company. In addition, her academic work includes a background in architectural design, interior design and a degree in psychology. She is also a Certified Kitchen and Bath Designer (CKBD). Born and raised in a small town in Michigan, Susan is inspired by her travels around the world but grounded by her midwestern upbringing. One area that is especially close to Susan’s heart, is designing spaces for her more mature clients so that they can remain comfortable in their homes for decades to come. She is a Certified Aging in Place Specialist (CAPS) and has designed many projects for both those with disabilities and those who are just looking forward to “living in place” by considering important factors such as lighting, safety, and ergonomics.

Susan’s team of highly-qualified designers, project managers, contractors, vendors and suppliers, many of whom have been with her from the very start, all help to create an unparalleled experience from the materials sourced, to the fabricators who manufacture the custom designs, to the team that assembles the project inside your home. Problem solving is at the heart of every design, and Susan and her team are master problem solvers. She is dedicated to sourcing quality materials at the best value, and to making sure that each project is ultimately as unique as each homeowner.

Susan’s work has been published both online and in print, including such publications as Better Homes and Gardens and The Chicago Tribune, as well as frequent features on Houzz.com. She is an active member of the NKBA, the industry’s longest and largest professional organization. In her free time, she enjoys skiing, time at the gym and traveling the world with her husband and three children.
